Pakistan Forum held a banquet on Sun 21st August 2016 to celebrate both Pakistan Independence Day and the hard work and dedication of the wonderful members of the Pakistan community in Nottingham.
Awards were given to: Full list will be added here soon.
This was Pakistan Forum’s flagship event of the year and every effort was made to ensure that the event would be spectacular.
Fantastic entertainment for the evening was provided by the evergreen Mohd Raza with his beautiful ghazals, semi-classical and commercial songs.
Thanks to our wonderful sponsors (see list below), and the fantastic dedication and many months of preparation of the Pakistan Forum Executives, we were able to put on a show to remember! The venue was immaculately decorated, the food was divine and the organisation for the event was incredible. Indeed the reviews after the event were exceptional and everyone left the event very happy with their experience. Many dignitaries also attended the event and they all commented that this was the best event that they had seen anywhere in the country!
The venue for the event was the Notts County Banqueting Suite, which could cater for 250 people. However, tickets for the event were sold out as fast as a Micheal Jackson concert. Sold out within the hour!!! The demand for the tickets far exceeded our expectations and many people were unable to obtain a ticket. We give our apologies to all those unable to obtain tickets. To counteract this, next year we will be holding the event in a much bigger venue where, hopefully, we will be able to accommodate all the community. The event will also be bigger and bolder, so watch this space!!!
And, importantly, the event ran to the planned/advertised times. We at Pakistan Forum strongly believe that we should run events to the times advertised and not run according to ‘desi times’ … i.e. 1-2 hours later than advertised. So please note this when attending any of our functions/events.
Our Sponsors for the event:
T&S Heating, Pak Foods, First Enterprise, Muslim Hands, Royal (Sweets), Hafiz Supermarket, Khan Halal Meat, Sanctuary Law, Kamal Food Store, Unique Insurance Service, Unita Packaging Limited, Rangeen Wedding Stages, Bombay Nights, Curry Lounge, Madni Sweets, Wimpy (at Intu, Broadmarsh), Asian Women’s Project, Solutions Accountants, Seht.
Pakistan Forum would again like to thank all our sponsors for helping make this event a great success:
Pakistan Forum would like to thank the Nadra Team for coming to Nottingham and giving our residents the opportunity to process their applications here.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to Forest Fields Welfare Association for providing the venue to host this event.
