Pakistan Forum and guests celebrated the New Year in fashion at the stylish Curry Lounge (on Parliament Street, Nottingham). The event kicked off at 9:00pm sharp and ended sometime after midnight when everyone embraced wishing each other a Happy New Year.
The evening began with the chairman, Qammar Zamman, informing the guests about Pakistan Forum, its achievements and aspirations. He mentioned the successful Social Club; the planned affiliation with a Cricket Club; free legal surgeries; 20% and other benefits for members.
The entertainment for the night was provided by Bobby from Walsall; a seasoned singer, who thoroughly entertained everyone with a wonderful renditions, of both old and new songs. He had wonderful stage presence and was always happy to share the microphone with any guests who showed willingness to join in to the delight of the guests. Additional songs were performed by Mohammed Ilyas, Omar and Amjad Rana.
At midnight everyone counted down the year and a large cake was cut to celebrate the event and shared out to all.
The overall response for the event was a massive thumbs up! Congratulations and many, many thanks to all those that made this possible.
We hope all our guests had a safe journey home and look forward to meeting again soon … perhaps on Pakistan Day (in March 2016) ?
