On Sunday 18th October, The Curry Lounge on Parliament Street hosted Pakistan Forum’s joint celebration of Eid (belated) and the renowned Pakistani intellectual and revolutionary poet, Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
A thoughtful and concise talk about Faiz was given by Qammar Zamman; Mohammed Ilyas
entertained the audience with some beautiful ghazals penned by Faiz; and a wonderful dinner capped off the perfect evening.
As an aside, in an attempt to turn around ‘traditional’ late starts to events, Pakistan
Forum started the event on time and ended on time too! Will this be the start of a ‘new’
trend?
